There are moments in life that you wonder what on earth you were thinking, then there are holy moly what have I gotten myself into moments. Waking up on Mattie’s sofa was definitely the latter, especially when I noticed she was gone. The light had grown dim but still filtered through the window enough for me to see. Mattie was standing in the kitchen staring out the window, but I didn’t realize she was on the phone until she spoke.
